The Evaluation Process

Thank you to everyone who entered the Building Communities Awards 2026. Our judges commented on the high quality of entries and how difficult the decisions were. 

Entries were judged by an esteemed panel of judges with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the housing and construction industry. Entries were reviewed and judged by the panel using a matrix scoring system. The judges were looking for evidence of development, implementation, and application of the issues detailed in each award category. They scored entries based on relevance, outcome and evidence. Steps were taken to avoid conflicts of interest, with judges only scoring categories where they could remain impartial.
